12 Best IPTV Service Providers in USA 2026 (Tested & Reviewed)

Let's be honest. Paying for cable in 2026 feels like paying for a landline. I did it for years, at about $150 a month, until I finally cut the cord.

The short answer: StelloTV IPTV is the best IPTV service in the USA right now. I've watched it daily for more than a year, across a Firestick, a Smart TV and my phone. It carries 60,000+ live channels and 80,000+ movies and series, holds up during NFL and Champions League games, and costs $99.99 a year (about $8.33/month). There's a 24-hour free trial.

IPTV in Plain English (and Why I Walked Away From Cable)

IPTV means Internet Protocol Television: TV delivered over your internet connection instead of a coax cable or a satellite dish. If you've ever streamed Netflix, you already get the idea. The difference is that IPTV gives you live channels, sports and PPV events alongside movies and series, all in one app.

Setting it up is simple. Your provider sends a username, password and server URL. You enter them into an IPTV player on your Firestick, Smart TV or phone, and the channel guide loads.

What pushed me to switch

The $150 monthly bill hurt, but it wasn't the deal-breaker. Travel was.

I travel for work, sometimes to other states and sometimes abroad. With cable, my TV stayed at home. I couldn't watch my local channels or even catch the news from home while I was away. When I moved house, I had to deal with installation all over again. And I was tied to a contract I couldn't get out of, even on months when the service let me down.

IPTV fixed all of that. Today I have one account that runs on two TVs at home and on my phone wherever I am. I can follow the news from home in a hotel room overseas. And I pay $99.99 a year instead of $1,800, which leaves about $1,700 a year in my pocket.

How I Test an IPTV Service Before I Pay

I don't rank anything I haven't used myself. Every IPTV provider on this list went through the same routine.

Step 1: Vet the provider. Before I even ask for a trial, I check two things. Has the company been running for at least a year? And does it have a Trustpilot page with genuine customer reviews? A provider that fails either check doesn't get my time.

Step 2: Time the trial for a big game. I look at the week's schedule and request the trial for the day of a major NFL game or another big live event. That's when servers get hammered, so it's the fairest test there is.

Step 3: Watch the live stream closely. I'm looking for buffering, freezes and cut-outs during the event. For me, a stream that drops during a live game is an instant fail.

Step 4: Test the support. How quickly does the trial arrive? How easy is the account setup? Do they answer messages fast, even mid-game?

Step 5: The TiviMate check. TiviMate is the player I use on my Firestick and Smart TV. As soon as I get the login details, they go straight into TiviMate. If the service won't run there, and the provider pushes me toward their own app instead, I cross it off the list. A solid IPTV service works in a standard player like TiviMate.

For the seven licensed services, I simply paid for each one for a few months and used it alongside my IPTV setup.

The 5 Best IPTV Providers in the USA (Reviewed)

1. StelloTV IPTV: Most Reliable IPTV Service in the USA

stellotv-image

StelloTV has been my daily driver for over a year, and it's the only IPTV service I'd recommend without hesitation.

Reliability is where it pulls ahead. The real test of any IPTV server is a packed live event, and StelloTV passes it every time: NFL Sundays, Champions League nights, World Cup matches. Buffering is rare enough that I can't remember it ruining a game.

Support is the other reason it's number one. Even on big match days, when every provider gets flooded with messages, StelloTV answers. Most of my issues were sorted within 24 hours.

Key features:

  • 60,000+ live channels across US, sports and international

  • 80,000+ on-demand movies and series

  • PPV events included in the subscription

  • Runs on Firestick, Smart TVs, Android and iPhone

  • Passes the TiviMate check

  • 24-hour free trial

Price: $39.99 for 3 months (about $13/month) or $99.99 for 12 months (about $8.33/month).

Verdict: The most reliable IPTV service in the USA and my overall top pick for 2026.

2. IPTV Service USA: Best IPTV Service for 4K

iptv-service-usa-image

Got a 4K TV? IPTV Service USA TV is built for you. It has the deepest 4K selection I came across, with entire categories of channels streaming in 4K.

Why isn't it number one? Total channel count. Nigma's 4K lineup is excellent, but its overall channel list is much shorter than StelloTV's.

Key features:

  • Dedicated 4K channel categories

  • Stable during live matches

  • 24-hour free trial

Price: $37.95/3 Months

Start Your IPTV Serviec USA TV Free Trial

Verdict: The best IPTV service in the USA if 4K picture quality is your priority.

3. Kilo IPTV: Best IPTV Service for Live Sports

kilo-tv-image

Kilo's channel list is nearly as big as StelloTV's, and it didn't buffer once during the live games I watched on it. For sports, it's excellent.

The drawback is that there's no free trial. You pay before you can test it, and I always prefer to test first. That's the only reason it sits below StelloTV and Nigma.

Key features:

  • A channel list close in size to StelloTV's

  • Smooth live sports with no buffering in my testing

  • No free trial

Price: $39.99/3 Months

See Kilo IPTV Plans

Verdict: A top choice for sports fans who don't mind paying without a trial.

4. ZoryFlix: Best IPTV Service for Beginners

zoryflix-image

ZoryFlix is straightforward to set up and offers a free trial, so it's an easy first step into IPTV.

Here's my honest take, though. It costs more than StelloTV, Nigma and Kilo, and it doesn't deliver more. During big live events, its servers sometimes buffer. A fast internet connection helps, but doesn't fully solve it.

Key features:

  • Easy setup for first-time users

  • Free trial

  • Occasional buffering during major live events

Price: $55.99/3 Months, above the top three

Try ZoryFlix Free

Verdict: Fine for beginners on fast internet, but the services above give you more for less.

5. IPTV Insider: Best IPTV Service for Movies and Series

iptv-insider-image

If on-demand content matters more to you than live TV, IPTV Insider is worth a look. Its movie and series library is huge, and multiple subtitle options make it a good fit for households that watch in more than one language. Its 4K channels are strong too.

Pricing is close to StelloTV's. What holds it back is customer support, which is slow and not very helpful. In IPTV, that's a big deal: when something breaks right before kickoff, you need an answer fast.

Key features:

  • Large movie and series library

  • Multiple subtitle languages

  • Good 4K selection

  • 24-hour free trial

Price: $39.99/3 Months, similar to StelloTV

Start Your IPTV Insider Free Trial

Verdict: The best IPTV service for VOD and series fans, as long as you can live with weaker support.

7 Licensed IPTV Alternatives Worth Considering

These seven are licensed live TV streaming services, not traditional IPTV providers. I subscribed to each for a few months, and they earn a spot for two reasons: they're completely legal, and no ISP will ever block them. In my time with them, none of them buffered.

The trade-off is cost. Expect to pay several times more than IPTV for fewer channels, and you won't get live TV, PPV and a huge movie library under one subscription.

6. Hulu + Live TV: Best for Live TV Plus Entertainment

hulu-image

Hulu + Live TV bundles live channels with Hulu's on-demand catalog, Disney+ and ESPN Select. It's the most complete package for families who want live news and sports but also binge shows.

Key features: live network and sports channels, Hulu's on-demand library, Disney+ and ESPN Select included, unlimited cloud DVR, and apps for most devices.

Price: $99.99/month with ads for new subscribers after Disney's fall 2026 increase, or $109.99/month without ads.

Verdict: The fullest legal bundle on this list, and also the most expensive.

7. YouTube TV: Best for US Live TV and Local Channels

youtube-tv-image

YouTube TV is the closest you'll get to cable without the cable. It carries 100+ networks, including local stations, and it has the cleanest interface of anything I tested.

Key features: 100+ channels with locals, unlimited cloud DVR, up to 6 household accounts, and apps for nearly every device.

Price: $82.99/month for the Base Plan. Smaller genre plans launched in February 2026, starting at $54.99/month.

For perspective, StelloTV's yearly plan costs about $8.33/month, roughly a tenth of YouTube TV's Base Plan, and it includes PPV, movies and series as well.

Verdict: The best licensed cable replacement for local channels and total peace of mind.

8. Sling TV: Best for Flexible, Budget-Friendly Bundles

sling-tv-image

Sling lets you pick a smaller channel bundle and bolt on extras only if you want them. That keeps the bill below most licensed rivals.

Key features: Orange (ESPN-focused) and Blue (news, entertainment, some locals) packages, optional add-ons, cloud DVR, and apps for Firestick, Roku and Smart TVs.

Price: $45.99/month for Orange or Blue, $60.99/month for both, or $19.99/month for the slim Select plan.

Verdict: The best value among licensed services, provided your must-watch channels are in your chosen bundle.

9. Fubo: Best Licensed Option for Sports Fans

fubo-image

Fubo is all about sports, and it carries regional sports networks that many competitors leave out. If you follow a local NBA, NHL or MLB team, that matters.

Key features: a sports-heavy lineup, regional sports networks in many markets, cloud DVR, multiple streams, and add-ons like NFL RedZone.

Price: about $89/month for Pro, plus a regional sports fee in many markets.

Verdict: Great sports coverage, but one of the priciest options once the fees are added.

10. Philo: Best for Entertainment on a Budget

philo-image

Philo drops sports and local news entirely, and that's how it keeps the price so low. If you mostly watch reality, lifestyle and entertainment channels, it's a bargain.

Key features: 70+ entertainment and lifestyle channels, on-demand shows and cloud DVR. No sports or local broadcast channels.

Price: $25/month for Essential, or $33/month for Bundle+ with AMC+, HBO Max Basic with Ads and discovery+.

Verdict: Excellent value if you never watch live sports.

11. ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited (Formerly ESPN+): Best Sports Add-On

espn-image

What used to be ESPN+ is now ESPN Select, and ESPN Unlimited is the full streaming service with the main ESPN networks. Neither replaces a full TV package, but both work well as an add-on for sports fans.

Key features: Select has the former ESPN+ content, Unlimited adds the ESPN TV networks, and both work on phones, Smart TVs and streaming sticks.

Price: $13.99/month for ESPN Select and $31.99/month for ESPN Unlimited since September 17, 2026.

Verdict: A smart add-on for sports, not a replacement for cable.

12. DirecTV Stream: Best Cable-Style Packages Without a Contract

directv-image

DirecTV Stream is the most "cable-like" option here: tiered channel packages and regional sports in the higher tiers, delivered over the internet with no contract.

Key features: 90+ channels on the Entertainment package, higher tiers with regional sports and premium channels, and cloud DVR.

Price: about $89.99/month for Entertainment, with the higher tiers costing considerably more.

Verdict: Cable without the contract, but not without the cable-sized bill.

IPTV or a Licensed Service: Which One Is Right for You?

Having lived with both, I think the decision comes down to what you care about most.

A licensed service (YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling and the rest) makes sense when:

  • Legal certainty matters to you.

  • Your ISP blocks IPTV and a VPN doesn't get around it.

  • You only need a small set of US channels and the higher bill doesn't bother you.

An IPTV service like StelloTV makes sense when:

  • Cost matters. About $8.33/month on StelloTV's yearly plan versus $82.99/month for YouTube TV is roughly a 10x difference.

  • You want it all in one place: live TV, locals, sports, PPV, movies and series. Piecing that together from cable, YouTube TV, Netflix, HBO Max and Apple TV would cost a small fortune.

  • You travel and want your TV on your phone, in any state or country.

The technology is completely legal. IPTV is just a delivery method, and licensed services like YouTube TV use the same basic idea.

What decides legality is the provider. An IPTV service is legal as long as it holds the rights to the channels and content it streams. All seven licensed services on this list do.

Independent IPTV providers, including the five I ranked, are more of a gray area. Most don't publish licensing information for their channel lists, so as a viewer you can't be fully sure either way.

My advice: if that uncertainty makes you uneasy, stick with a licensed service. If you're comfortable with it, test any IPTV provider with its free trial first, and run a VPN.

ISP Throttling: How to Spot It and Fix It

Some US internet providers do throttle or block IPTV traffic. The giveaway is simple:

  • Netflix, YouTube and other apps look perfect, with no lag.

  • Your IPTV service, on the same connection, keeps buffering and dropping out.

If that matches what you see, your ISP is most likely slowing down the IPTV traffic.

A VPN usually solves it. I hit this mostly on hotel and public Wi-Fi when I'm traveling. I switch on my VPN, reconnect, and the stream clears up.

I use Surfshark. It has apps for Firestick, Android, iPhone and Smart TVs like Samsung, and one subscription covers all your devices. It's cheapest on the longer plans.

Get Surfshark VPN

If your ISP blocks IPTV completely and even a VPN can't get through, that's the point where I'd switch to YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV.

Can Your IPTV Use Be Traced?

It isn't invisible. Without a VPN, your ISP can see that you're connecting to a streaming server, and the IPTV provider sees your IP address. If a provider gets shut down, its customer data can end up with someone else. That's why plenty of IPTV users leave their VPN on all the time.

How to Tell If an IPTV Provider Can Be Trusted

No one can honestly promise you an IPTV provider will be around forever. After a year with StelloTV, I'm about 90% confident in it, because it ticks every box I check. But there are no guarantees in this industry.

My two non-negotiables before I trust a provider:

  1. One year or more in business. Newer services haven't shown they can last.

  2. Real reviews on Trustpilot. You'll see what customers actually experience, and how long the provider has been active.

IPTV Services That Have Been Shut Down

IPTV providers do get shut down, often by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), an anti-piracy coalition. One example is Rare Breed IPTV in North Carolina, which ACE shut down in 2025.

I've been burned by this myself. I was subscribed to Xtreme HD IPTV when it went offline in 2025. My access disappeared with time still left on my plan. Since then, copycat sites have been using the Xtreme HD name, so be careful.

What I took away from it: never buy a long plan from a provider you haven't tested. Trial first, then a short plan, and only commit to a full year once the service has earned it.

Are Free IPTV Playlists on Reddit Worth It?

Free playlists do get shared on Reddit, and occasionally they work. From my experience, they're not worth the hassle:

  • About 80% of the links I've tried simply don't work.

  • The ones that do usually die within hours, or a couple of days at best.

  • Huge numbers of people pile onto the same link, so the server is overloaded and buffers constantly.

  • You miss out on a full channel list, local channels and a proper on-demand library.

A free trial or the cheapest plan from a reliable provider gives you a far better experience for very little money.

My Verdict: The Best IPTV Service in the USA for 2026

StelloTV IPTV is the best IPTV service in the USA for 2026. It's the one I keep coming back to after a year of daily use: 60,000+ channels, 80,000+ movies and series, steady streams on game day, support that actually answers, and about $8.33/month on the yearly plan.

Start Your StelloTV IPTV Free Trial

How to choose in one line each:

  • Want zero legal doubt, or your ISP won't let IPTV through? Go with YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV and accept the higher price.

  • Want to spend about a tenth as much and get live TV, locals, sports, PPV, movies and series together? Go with StelloTV.

Whichever way you lean, use the free trial first, ideally on a day with a big game.

IPTV FAQ

How much does IPTV cost per month in the USA?

A quality IPTV service usually costs $8–$15 a month, depending on the plan length. StelloTV is $39.99 for 3 months or $99.99 for a year. Licensed services cost far more: YouTube TV's Base Plan is $82.99/month.

Is paid IPTV worth it?

For me, yes. I save about $1,700 a year compared to my old $150/month cable bill, and I get more content on more devices.

What's the most reliable IPTV service?

StelloTV IPTV, based on more than a year of use. It rarely buffers, even during NFL and Champions League games.

Can I watch IPTV for free?

Free playlists exist, but most don't work and the rest stop working quickly. A 24-hour free trial from a reliable provider is the better way to test IPTV at no cost.

Do I need a VPN for IPTV?

Only if your ISP throttles or blocks it. If other apps stream fine but IPTV keeps buffering, a VPN like Surfshark usually fixes it.

What's the best IPTV app for Firestick?

I use TiviMate on my Firestick and Smart TV. A trustworthy provider should work in it without forcing you onto their own app.

The technology is legal. Whether a specific service is legal depends on whether it holds the rights to its content. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling and the other licensed services are fully legal.
